@luís-pinto aha! already searchable. Thanks Luis!
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Not yet in App Store.
-
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Ah ok, i didn’t see!
-
@luís-pinto I tried to search as well but was not listed. The link for now will guide you there.
-
Thanks for the info! Of course I will continue on the beta
-
@alberto-yoldi yes please! (that’s what I ll do as well)
-

the touch point for Suunto to list the new app
So you say that suunto forum is being promoted as official source? We will be hit by questions
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos beta for life. Glad to be part of the process.
-
@slashas Hmmm not 100% sure about that but yeah. When a user wants to use the beta this is the place to put his feedback.
Also soon I ll open up a call for moderators. Get ready people!
-
I will keep in beta of course!
Perhaps a stupid question but the released beta is last build available here, isn’t it?
Because in some screen shots are more information, for example sleep data, that in the last build are not present?

if you are referring to the sleep quality that is a RR firstbeat exclusive feature of the S3F ( if you remember I had mentioned this at another post).
To answer your question yes. The official Build is the latest beta.
Perhaps this oneliner makes sense:
Alpha >= Beta >= Official Build
-
Official lunch?!
Tasty.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Ok, thanks, I’m was speaking about the quality parameter yes
I didn’t remember it was s3F exclusive
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos hmmm, but how do we continue to get the beta builds?
On Android, I search for SuuntoApp in store, and find the released non-beta version, but it’s the app I already have installed even though the description says “welcome…this is the initial version…”, But i still see 3.29.0 (30311) inside the app.
How do we continue (or indeed how do we opt out) to see beta builds?? Will they just appear in the store but not visible to non beta users, and we will get different description somehow?

For now it’s being worked on perhaps there will be a minor change in the future
But for now:
You are in a beta google group. The email addresses that are in that group get a special build from the Play store.
So if someone goes to the Suunto app listing in the play store for him it will always show the latest beta, if he is the google group with his google play email.
In short:
All users that are now in the beta, in the playstore, they will see the beta version (images update message etc). BUT due to the initital realease now you see the initial release, which of course is the latest beta.
The playstore will push updates to you as we push beta builds.
Again:
- 1 listing in the playstore for Alpha, Beta and production
- Depending on your email address you get dirrent description and version of the app.
That is for Android
For IOS the testflight procedure still takes place.
Does this help?
-
Well to make it even shorter: You do not need todo anything
-
Crystal clear
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos interesting thing that screenshots in AppStore are from old suunto app releases and differ from actually what you get
-
Good to see that the result of all the feedback from this forum has resulted in a ready to use app for the futur S3F
-
I noticed something confusing: whilst the other apps are developed by Suunto, this app is listed as being developed by Sports Tracker Technologies Ltd. Looking under the developer Suunto, Movescount, 7R, Zoop-Vyper and EON Steel are listed.
For clarity/helping people better verify what they’re installing, it’d be good to change the developer of the Suunto app to Suunto.
-
@nicolasp wanted to say S3F futur owners. don’t know why couldn’t update my post.
-
@ze-stuart Sports-tracker is also AmerSports that Suunto belongs to.
I do not really know why, but it’s not a simple decision.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos aye I know about the ownership chain, I had my infosec hat on.
I think it’s great to see the app published.
