I don’t know if there is a new algorithm, but style recognition is worse than it used to be (about a year ago). I’m not developing the thread here, because it would be off topic, but through my profile you’ll hit the posts where I write a bit more. Generally, they boil down to the fact that I don’t have a good opinion about the SV measurements quality in the pool, and I’ve stopped hoping that it will get better. Although swimming is one of my preferred activities. I feel even more disappointed when, in addition, recent updates have broken SV functionality in open water swimming. I also reported the similar issue with snorkeling in December, it’s all about the GPS signal, I guess. After all, it all worked well, certainly a year ago.

My watch (SV) sometimes crashes during activity. Several times a year. Always on the map screen.

I have similar issue but looking at the graph I see sporadic drops in altitude of about 100m here and there, of course no wind no clothes or anything that might cause external reading problems. Haven’t found a way to solve it, but watch worked correctly the first 3/4 months. It’s quite a problem since it’s one of the few information that really interest me. Could it be a hardware problem?

Notifications updated, but still not possible to see the sender name in (at least) whatsapp notifications. Pretty annoying in group chats.

Hi, Can anyone help with this dilemma please. I can’t seem to figure out how to get my indoor rowing and cycling sessions to log on the phone app as an activity. If I look through my watch logbook the sessions are all there, however they are not showing/syncing to my app at all so it looks as though I’m not doing as many workouts as I am. So my weekly data is all wrong! Any ideas anyone? Many thanks Tasha

Bonjour a tous, J’utilise une Suunto 5 peak depuis 1 an, que j’ai connecté à mon capteur de FC (Polar H9). D’habitude tout va bien, à la fin d’une activité la montre charge 20 sec le temps de tout synchroniser et mon activité se télécharge sur mon application… Or depuis ce matin, en revenant d’une sortie vélo, ma montre reste bloqué sur l’écran “synchro données FC” avec le petit chargement… Cela fait 3h que rien n’a bougé… Je ne peux pas quitter cette synchro, j’ai essayé de déconnecter et reconnecter ma montre, d’enlever et remettre la pile de mon capteur de FC mais rien… Le seul moment où je n’ai plus cet écran c’est quand je reçois une notif qui s’affiche donc sur ma montre. Quelqu’un a t’il déjà eu ça, et/ou sait comment arrêter ça ? Merci ! Björn

Hi all! My Android mobile phone can connect and be paired with my Suunto 5, but it keeps on pairing once both devices are connected. Obviously, no performance data is automatically synced. The app and softwares are updated. What might be the problem? Thanks!

Interesting take! A lightweight Suunto with Stryd support would be a game-changer for runners. I doubt they’ll add it, but if they did, I’d consider it too. The T6c was legendary—2000 miles is impressive!
